Rishikesh (Yog Nagari)



Rishikesh is a city in India's northern state of Uttarakhand. It is located in the Himalayan foothills, near the banks of the sacred Ganges River. Laxman Jhula: 


The Laxman Jhula suspension bridge spans the Ganges River. It is thought to be the location where Lord Laxman, Lord Rama's brother, crossed the river using jute ropes. The bridge provides a wonderful view of the holy river and the surrounding mountains.


Triveni Ghat:



Triveni Ghat is the confluence of three sacred rivers: the Ganges, the Yamuna, and the Saraswati. Pilgrims flock here to bathe in the hallowed waters and attend the nightly aarti (prayer service).


Neelkanth Mahadev Temple: 



Neelkanth Mahadev Temple is devoted to Lord Shiva and is located approximately 32 kilometres from Rishikesh. It is thought that Lord Shiva devoured the venom that formed during the churning process.

Beatles Ashram: 



The Beatles Ashram, also known as Maharishi Mahesh Yogi Ashram, sprang to prominence after the Beatles visited in the late 1960s to learn transcendental meditation. It is now a popular tourist destination and a must-see for Beatles enthusiasts, who can explore the graffiti-covered ruins and learn about the band's connection to Rishikesh.


Rajaji National Park:

 
Rajaji National Park, located on the outskirts of Rishikesh, is a paradise for environment lovers and animal aficionados. The park, which covers an area of 820 square kilometres, is home to a diverse range of flora and animals, including elephants, tigers, leopards, and other bird species. Visitors can enjoy the park's vast biodiversity by going on safari rides or birding.



Shivpuri: 




Shivpuri, around 16 kilometres from Rishikesh, is a renowned adventure location. River rafting, camping, trekking, and hiking are just a few of the activities available. The Ganges' pure rivers make it a great location for white water rafting.
